How We Got Started

I started working with leather about six years ago, just looking for a hands-on hobby, right around when my wife and I were expecting our first child. Over time, the hobby turned into Traders Point Leather and a great way to spend time with my 6yo son.

We’re based in Traders Point, Indiana—right on the edge of the city, where neighborhoods meet woods and farmland. It’s a quiet, practical kind of place. My wife and I do everything ourselves in a small home workshop. I’ve always liked how leather has a natural beauty to it—and that’s what we try to emphasize in the products. Nothing flashy—just honest, well-made leather goods built to be used every day.
